Buddhist meditation is the support for a way of being with ourselves and being in the world with others that is guided by the wish to do no harm and make choices that are generous, compassionate and wise.

We practice mindfulness of the breath, body sensations, the emotions, thought and awareness itself. We also cultivate loving kindness and compassion.

Though independent and unaffiliated, our primary sources of teaching are:

  • Joseph Goldstein - Early Buddhism

  • Pema Chödrön -  Mahayana Buddhism

  • Tara Brach - Buddhism and psychotherapy

  • Tsoknyi Rinpoche and

  • Adyashanti -  two 'non-dual' traditions of Buddhism

Our pactice is within the Buddhist tradition but members need not identify themselves as Buddhists.

Our sangha - community - is not exclusive nor excluding. It may be viewed as a place of refuge in itself or as an introduction, a stepping off point, into other Buddhist - or indeed non-Buddhist - sanghas.
